These are OK routers - nothing special, but OK. But they do put out fairly good wifi signals - in dual frequency bands( 2.4 and 5MHz). If you have got any ethernet cabling in your house ( or use a Powerline network) , you can easily set up one of these as a wifi repeater. Plenty of instructions on the Internet, but basically, change the IP address and disable the DCHP server. Done in 5 minutes. So buying one of these secondhand for less than a tenner is enough to provide a second source of Dual Frequency Wifi signals. Put it in the right place, and it should be plenty to cover your whole house. I briefly played with a BT Whole house three disc system, until I realised that buying a second hand HomeHub off ebay would do every bit as good a job for a twentieth of the cost !

This BT Hub 5 works great on PlusNet fiber and certainly looks much better than the dull all white version that is supplied as standard. And of course you don't need the Openreach modem as it has one built in. "Happy Days"

We have Plusnet fibre service and this modem/router works well. We have also using a couple of extra ones which we bought for less than ten pounds each - using them as wifi repeaters and they're brilliant.
