Exact version of my previous printer which was perfect until it got knocked off its stand and was rendered inoperable. I'm perfectly happy with it but haven't got it set up correctly yet. I think I didn't follow the directions properly. (operator error). So I haven't been able to judge the print quality. My only negative comment is that the "instructions" are pretty much just pictures and leave you to make your best guesses.

It is inconsistent in the feeding of the paper- it picks the paper up and quits after feeding about 2 inches of the paper (then this page is skipped). It doesn't always do this but it is a nightmare if trying to print the longer print jobs. You never know when this is going to happen. It often feeds more than one sheet of paper but I can live with that by putting a finger on the following page. If I was told this printer was erratic in feeding the paper I would not have bought it.

Replaced a Canon all-in-one with this basic easy to use laser. Canon had constant issues, always broken. This printer is great all it does is print clearly in black & white. Perfect. Only reason i didn't rate excellent is the replacement cartridge cost as much as the printer does.
I bought this printer several weeks ago to replace my old Lexmark InkJet printer and so far, I been loving it every single time I use it. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble the parts and about 15 minutes, everything was ready to go. The speed is reasonably fast for home-business based usage and the quality of printing (even with the Toner Save on) has been much more than I could expect from such a little mono printer. It takes about 10-15 seconds for the first print if the printer is on the 'sleep' mode, then it prints about 20-25 ppm. No auto duplex printing, but Samsung has made the manual duplex pretty standard and easy. Besides, the printer is very simple for beginner to get through the learning path - there are only two LEDs and one button on the printer. While this printer has work extremely well for me, there are several drawbacks that you might need to consider before buying it: 1) The retail package does not come with a USB cable. You need to buy an additional USB1.1 "A" to "B" cable in order to connect it to your system. You can, of course, get it quite cheap on eBay. 2) The printer does generate some loud noises while printing, which can be annoying if you're used to work in a more quiet environment. It doesn't bother me much, but my family members complained once that it was a bit too noisy when I send a fairly large batch printing job at night. 3) I couldn't find a software on Samsung website that would show me the ink level of the cartridge. The software that comes with the box is just a driver with a help manual in PDF. Nothing much. Although I've only been using this printer for about a month, I'm sure this can get unpleasant in the future as I can't estimate when to order a new cartridge for replacement. But overall, for a personal mono laser printer that is under $100 and possibly much less after rebate, I would certainly recommend this printer to anybody.Read full review
This is my second ML-2010. I used my first one daily for a few years and it never gave me a problem. Then why did I get rid of it? Because I trusted it enough to pass it on to one of my daughters. The most recent one is actually used and has already printed over 9000 pages without a problem and I trust it will keep on keeping on. The Samsung ML-2010 is fairly compact for a laser printer and is quite attractive. It is very user friendly so that clearing a paper jam, which by the way was a rare occurrence, was very simple, and changing cartridges, just as easy. The most outstanding features are that it is very fast, spitting out pages at more than 30 a minute and the cartridge seemed to last forever. I like that feature after having spent years dealing with ink jet cartridges which was often tedious and certainly expensive. My first ML-2010 was free with a MacBook purchase and this one was $39 (preowned) bought on eBay. For a black and white laser printer the speed, economy and quality of the Samsung ML-2010 puts it at the top of my list of recommendations.Read full review
