He goes searching for his wife and child amidst the post-apocalyptic horror, using his intelligence and training to stay alive. Eventually he reunites with his loved ones, who have gone on the run with a motley crew of survivors that include Rick's former partner on the force (Jon Bernthal), who has fallen in love with Rick's wife. The group must journey across the United States in search of a new home, evading the shuffling hordes of the undead. However as their situation grows more desperate and hazardous, the group are pushed to the brink of insanity. Written and executive produced by Frank Darabont.     Probably can't say much more about this opening season that hasn't been commented before. Despite it being visually magnificent, well cast, especially the young actor that plays Carl, he really takes to his role from the beginning, the creative process's of Frank Darabont will have you hooked from the first episode of the season.

    Brilliant buy this and watch it till it breaks

    FX brought us this series from the states last year. Starring Eg from 'this life' putting on an american accent is maybe worrying,but fear not he pulls it off. I watched some on my own with the other half peering over my shoulder waiting to watch Eastenders and tutting. Now, I cant remove it from her grasp! She is utterly transfixed by the human story (not the zombies). Everyone like to think what they would do in a zombie apocalypse, I think I would raid a police station and collect guns and cars, so you could call this a self help movie! We are both avid fans and both eagerly awaiting series 3 with the lights out and the popcorn ready!! Well worth getting into and in Blue-Ray just gives it that special edge.

    I love the walking dead. So there.

    I have loved the walking dead forever, so I have decided to collect them all on blu ray. It follows the story of Rick grimes after he awakens from a coma. The world he wakes in , is filled with the walking dead. He tools up and goes out to find his family in this dead world. i think its awesome and couldnt care less what the airheads on youtube think. Neither should you. Buy season 1 now, and tell me you didnt like it.

    Love Walking Dead

    I Absolutely Love This Show ! It's a great storyline and I really recommend to everyone, there are some violent scenes but it's truly revealing how life would be in a apocalypse.

    First class entertainment but the faint hearted should have a change of underwear to hand.

    At first it scared the hell out of me. The Walkers are aerie and if this dystopian world was real they are exactly as I imagine they would be. By season three I felt more comfortable about walking around the house in the dark without thinking there was a zombie waiting for me somewhere! The storyline is great and it's constantly evolving as you work through the seasons. You see the characters come and go and you see them develop into different people then when you first meet them; some growing stronger, some growing weak, some becoming pure evil and others doing a good turn. You should watch it if you haven't but keep the lights on if you have a nervous disposition!!
