I bought this tube for a 5 watt tube amp that was whistling and sounded very low quality. After I replaced this EL84 along with their preamp 12ax7 tube the amp sounded very high quality . Yes it brought my amp back to life . So lush and powerful that it gives my $400.00 arch top jazz guitar world class tone. My amp sounds a lot more powerful I couldn't believe the transition. Now I'm a believer. My advice if your going to change your amps tubes change them all at once you won't be sorry. The tubes also shipped very fast . Excellent tube to replace NOS EL84 tubes in W. German radios from the 1950's. The JJ EL84 greatly reduces, or eliminates the problem with excessive bass on rock stations.
