I had a fair amount of leftover pieces of steel panel siding that's been sitting in the rafters for 20+ years and decided to dress up the outside wall of my workshop by adding some wainscoting. That was going to be a lot of cutting by hand so I found these shears and thought I'd take a chance. There was a minimal learning curve and after a few test cuts I was able to make a straight line fairly easily. That was on the horizontal cuts. Vertical cuts were a little trickier but doable. One of two things would have helped my particular situation. Either another set of hands to help keep things in place. Or if the jaws of the shears themselves would open further. There is an adjustment screw that opens and closes the jaws but the max is not that great which I think would help when cutting the "ribs" of the barn siding. All in all they worked better than I would have hoped for so I'm very satisfied with this purchase!Read full review

I bought this took after watching videos that stated it would fit not only Freaky tools but other brands as well. I have five different Freaky drills and impact drivers and the tool does not fit any of them. The problem is connecting the end of the telescoping support arm to the drill. There are no anchor points on any of the Dewalt tools I own. The tool is of typical Dewalt quality but is basically unusable for me.

once you get familiar with the shear action you can make quick accurate cuts. it also leaves a rounded edge to the surface as apposed to the rough edge of a jig saw or grinder. great tool but how on earth they make something this niche before an 18v random orbit sander is beyond my comprehension.

When attached to the accessory slot, covers power setting but not a big deal. Straight cuts work great. Going over humps such as in metal roofing it takes paint off one side due to having to tilt the blade. All in all it’s worth buying though. Sure beats hand shears.

This is a really nice attachment for the DeWalt drill driver. It easily cuts through sheet metal. It can cut both straight and curved lines. The only drawback is that it still has some difficulty cutting over the larger ridges in roofing metal, but still does a better job than the other single blade electric cutters I’ve used.
