    Great way for storage expansion

I found this card while browsing M.2 SSD. Most of computers have extra PCI slots left unused, so why not make a good use for it. This one fits nicely into x16 PCI where graphics card would be. Win7 and Win10 do recognize this card right away and follow instruction to prepare it as normal HDD/SSD. Just to make sure you get the right M.2 NVMe SSE (M-Key stick). It does generate some heat, not noticeable and does not require heatsink. It has a LED for power indicator and activities. I'm really happy with this. I actually bought 3 of these. The shipping was quick during pandemic. Thank you and I highly recommend it for storage expansion.

Quality control needs to be a thing.

I ordered three of these for a server cluster build. They work well, however One of them was missing the half-height bracket to use if required. Unfortunately in my case, I actually need those brackets, so am SOL on one of these unless the seller can help me out. No response so far. Keep in mind that older motherboards cannot boot from a device like this, but it should work fine for data access after booting, which is OK for my needs.

  • Perfect for Cloning NVME drives for larger drive replacement.

If you need to Clone your NVME SSD and you have just one slot in your mother board, this will do the job. I used Acronis true image software. I installed my new NVME drive on the adapter card and then install it in my PC in a avail PCIE slot. Note I used a x 16 slot that was full sized. This was not a problem if you don't have the shorter slot avail it is still compatible. I booted my system normally and started the Acronis software and chose the "Clone" option. It showed all of my drives including the new drive on the adapter card. I chose first my original NVME boot drive as the "Source" Drive and then the new one on the adapter card as the "Destination" and that was it I clicked to proceed and in about 3 minutes software reported the copy was complete. After shutting ...

  • Very simple and easily installed, not so easy to fully understand.

Very simple and easily installed, not so easy to understand. The NVMe SSD chip plugs right into the adapter. Works great, very fast. But not many understand the NVMe SSD disk will not boot on older motherboards w/o M.2 support; meaning there is no driver for booting from the PCIe slot, so unless your motherboard settings configuration allows for the NVMe disk (M.2 support), it will be very fast but you can't boot from it or install Windows on that drive; won't work.

  • Adapter Card Allows for Second SSD Drive

Well, using an adapter card for an SSD (Solid State Drive) Hard Drive was a new experience for me. You see, recently during every boot up of my Dell XPS-8930 Desktop computer, it was warning me that my hard drive was going bad. The operating system was loaded on a SSD and the second hard drive was a 7200 RPM Mechanical drive. The mechanical drive, the one that stores all my files was the one going bad, but there was only one slot on the mother board for one SSD and it was already being used for the operating system. This adapter card allowed me to connect a second, new SSD and use the one available PCIe X4 slot. This new SSD has now replaced the failed mechanical drive and now transfers files and date much faster than the old drive.
