Its just a glorified goon bag, the barrel has a goon bag inside of it, so what ever liquid you put inside of it wont even touch the Oak as stated in the description here: "Drinks in oak barrels over time to improve its taste characteristics due to stretching of oak useful trace elements and enzymes."
How can it improve the taste characteristics when it cant even come into contact with the Oak???
