He said I should just buy the new one. Because my trimmer has so few hours, I thought I would try to fix it myself. I bought this $14? kit and the trimmer works very nicely. I discovered by trial and error that the high speed adjustment screw was on the outside. This kit replaces almost everything that can go wrong. It took me less than an hour to get the trimmer back in excellent shape.
