      Sturdy and well made

      This sharpener feels weighty and very sturdy. Two sizes of holes are useful for all types of pencils. The blades are very sharp and sharpen pencils to a very good point.

      It is so nice to have a solid product rather than the plastic types. It reminds me of the old days when nearly all the pencil sharpners were of a metal construction and they lasted what seemed like forever

      Branded, strong and effective.

      Cost a lot more than unbranded equivalents, but being fed up with shoddy copies that fall apart quickly, I am pleased that this Staedtler sharpener is solid and does what it should, and will probably last a lifetime!.

      Just a twist of the wrist for pointed prose!

      This device does the job well with a nice sharp pair of blades and two jig holes to guide the pencil into with a choice of two sizes to facilitate the sharpening of most popular sizes of pencil. The result a nice point with smooth wooden surround that won't give you splinters. Aysthetic design and German manufacture make this a classic piece of future antique collectablefor any serious stationary aficanardo!
