      A valuable tool for CCTV installers

      The Jonard UST-5000 is the best cable stripper on the market. Set the adjustments for your cable type and it does the necessary 2-step stripping leaving the woven shielding layer intact and leaving the center wire core at just the right length for a quick attachment of a BNC twist on connector. Getting it right every time means faster setup of a wiring harness for a CCTV system- either at the cameras or at the DVR. The tool is well made and worth buying- whether you are a homeowner with a small system to a professional installer. If a tool doesn't work it makes a job harder. The Jonard UST-500 works every time and doesn't interrupt your installation.

      Great value for a quality tool

      The tool is a great value for the cost. It is dependable, consistent and reliable. If there is any downside, it is in its ability to work with RG6q cable, but then again, not many tools work well with quad shielded cable. With the RG6q you have to make two separate cuts instead of the usual one cut does all, to me this is only a minor inconvenience, compared to all of the other features this all in one tool possess.

      Great RG6 Quad Stripper

      I bought this tool to strip RG6 Quad cable. I have used this to prep the cable for compression connectors. It makes clean even cuts and everything is the correct length, every time. This will save some time since it does everything in 1 pass instead of 2. I haven't tried the other stripping actions yet, but I will whenever I need to.
