Once at the shop in Escondido, the EIS and switch tested good. I was sent a video demonstrating this, along with further options to test my ME-SFI. I declined that option and requested my EIS and switch back. I was promptly refunded a significant portion of the fee, so I'm assuming that since no repair actually took place, I was just charged a reasonable fee for diagnosis.
