Diffuser Plate replacement solved the "side leaking" issue
Did the job of preventing 'side leakage'. Tricky to get old one out . . . . although very easy if you know how. Don't force it, it comes out very easy. Tried to clean up the lime scale deposits on the old one, on both sides of the old one. Did a good job, but was still leaking. I suspect the rubber simply got "aged", so a replacement was necessary . .. . . Only down slide with this product is there are no instructions or directions to a YouTube video on how to remove the old one, without force.Did the job of preventing 'side leakage'. New coffee machine in an instant!
Old Dolce Gusto machine descaled then started leaking, it is approx. 9 years old so did not even look to repair even though in great condition. Bought new design machine and when back home found the lead was too short and would not reach power socket! Decided to Google problem and found this (original) part was the cause so searched Ebay for replacement. Found part, 7 times less the amount of new machine and ordered it. Popped out old one with a screw driver as instructed and popped in new plate, voila! New machine!
