About this product

Product Information

As in other games in the "Wild Animals" line of Ubisoft's Petz series, Tigerz combines aspects of business simulation and life simulation games. Players take the role of an apprentice animal trainer, who works with endangered tiger cubs that need care and nurturing. In addition to caring for the young tigers and helping them grow to become strong adults, players will also visit other animal keepers, to learn new techniques and assist them in training their wild animals. After hours of loving care and patient instruction, the ultimate success comes when the player's animals can star in their own show, and help spread the word about the need for endangered species protection by entertaining audiences across the land.

Brings me right back to being a kid!

I used to play this game a lot when I first got my DS when I was nine. I had since lost it and was happy to see it so cheap on line. It was just as cute and strange as I remember it and it has been a bit of nostalgia playing it again. As an adult it is fairly straight forward and the only real challenge is the controls which are a bit sluggish, but I blame that on the six year old DS I was playing it on which could probably stand to be replaced. All in all it was a good buy!

  • Not what expected, but still cute

I thought this game was going to be like Dogz, Catz, etc, and it wasn't. You actually have quests or challenges that you have to complete, and then work on training as you do other things. My oldest can play it because she can read, but my youngest can't because she's 5 and just starting to read. Not for the beginner reader (unless you have time to read it to them), and need to have math skills up also (adding, subtracting up to 100). For my 7 yr old, it's a perfect game. Recommended for 8 and up though, even the 7 yr old looses interest in it when she can't play with the tigers and has to complete a challenge. Cute game though.

  • Nintendo Petz: Wild Animals - Tigerz

This game is interesting, you need to teach different activities to circus animals so they can perform right for their owners, if you do it right you earn points and money. The points open up new activities, and you need the money to buy food and supplies for 2 tiger cubs, that you also need to take care of, as you travel around on your teachings. The tigers need to bathe, eat etc. and you need to handle all of their care. This is a really good game, keeps the interest going.

  • very good but not excellent

I love this game and taking care of the anmials was fantastic. But...i thought the kids in there were dumb and should have been ore like normal people, not punk looking. And i tihnk some of the levels were too dificult for some. I can't get past the third though i have redone all of the levels to perfection! I bought it cause it looked fun and entertaning.

  • Game is easy to figure out, easy to play

I bought this for my 8yr old daughter. It was pretty simple for her to figure out, however does not hold her attention very long. I've played it a few times and it would be great for 5-10 year olds. The tricks you teach are fairly simple, the feeding is easy math and the petting and washing are fun.
