    Good book

    I bought the book because I enjoyed "Eat, Pray, Love" by the same author. I am partway through this book now, but not enjoying it quite as much as her previous. I think I am missing the "pray" quality, or spirituality that the other book had. Of course, this book has a different subject, which is that of her study of marriage before she takes the leap. In that respect, she definitely is shedding light on the history of marriage, and that is very enlightening and interesting.

    I purchased this book because I read Eat,Pray,Love by the author and enjoyed it. Having previously been married and now divorced for 5 years my thoughts of marriage have changed and I have found myself, like Ms Gilbert, trying to understand the concept and institution of marriage. I find myself wondering if it is an antiquated practice. The book, was insightful, interesting, inspiring and thought provoking. I would highly recommend this book.

    It was an interesting read about the personal relationship of the author, her reason for marrying for the second time and her research on other women's relationships and marriage. Some of the things hit home but the reason I didn't rate it excellent was because it was a little too personal for my tastes. I would have rather read more about the research than about her personal relationship with her boyfriend/husband.

    Fabulous Read

    If you read, Eat, Pray and Love...this book is written with even more detail. Liz once again has provided her readers with a book that will be impossible to put down. Her research is incredible. Her style is like no other author on the face of this Earth. Couple all of her words with her unique open attitude (into her very soul) and you will learn a thing or hundred.
