    A nice unit

    This receiver is well suited for a someone, like me, who doesn't have a large space for multiple speakers. Even with only two, the quality of the sound is quite good. It's easy to operate, and I appreciate having the remote. The 75 ohm antenna connection is a handy feature. I intend to add an outdoor loop. That should enhance the reception.

    USED TO OLD SCHOOL STEREOS

    I am 50 and have had many stereos over the years. Usually as I got older or moved, I sold or gave away my old stereos never thinking that some day it would of value or even that they would EVER go out of style. But, as people my age have learned, everything goes out of style lol. My last stereo receiver(Sony) was purchased at JC Pennys 22 years ago. Its has only 230 watts of power but it cranks! Lately it has been making a POP noise then it goes into protect mode and shuts off. So I went shopping only to discover my style of receiver is expensive to purchase now. I only paid $149 back then and that was a lot for me back then. I searched Ebay and found my new Sony receiver for $124. It has 135Wx2 what ever that means. I feel that its a descent component, but not as good as my last. It is a ...

    good stereo for the money

    I bought the Sony STR-DH130 for a friend who needed stereo w/A/B speaker capability. It has plenty of power for the Bose 301s she is running. The layout and remote are easy to understand and operate. We are both pleased with this receiver. The only drawback is the lack of a subwoofer out connection. That's partly my fault. I failed to notice as I studied all the different views. All in all we got a good stereo receiver for the money.

    Bought a Pyle the same day I got and plugged in the Sony

    Have always though well about the Sony brand but had a Pyle Stereo receiver. My fault it went bad due to heat. Bought the Sony to replace it , the day I got it and turned it on was not happy, The reg speak output and the RCA output volume and sound was not the same and could no get it to produce the rich full sound that the Pyle had, also it had a slight HSSSS and some fringe distortion. Bought another Pyle that day and I'm happy again and give someone a deal on the Sony here on eBay. Oh one other thing could not see the Sony had to put glasses on the see the digital readout and fine the controls

    Great signal sensitivity for a FM tuner.

    I set up this tuner 2 days ago with a simple outside turnstile FM antenna mounted 25 feet in the air and the receiver pulls in FM stereo stations 75 miles from my house. It has plenty of inputs and 2 outputs for setting up recording equipment, it works great with my 4, 8 Ohm floor speakers. The price beats Denon and Onkyo receivers for a 2 channel unit. The remote control is easy to learn for operations and the installation is a lot easier then the 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound systems on the market that I have no use for. This is the most FM stereo bang for the buck.
