  • Fantastic resource for Lancaster enthusiasts.

Lancaster is chock-full of great information, with contributions from some of the legendary pilots and crew members who helped to give the Avro Lancaster its status as the heavy bomber par excellence of bomber command in WW2. The illustrations and photographic plates show the Lanc in many different settings and really help to tell the story of the plane and all who worked in or on it. (It's a pity they're in black and white but given the era it's understandable). This book is a fantastic resource for Lancaster enthusiasts. Based on what I've read I can't wait to get my hands on some of the authors' other books too.

  • Good title, says exactly what it is about.

I am very interested in the topic as my father lost his life flying with RAF 104 squadron on the 19th July 1944. The stories & photographs contained in the book gives one a glimpse & feeling of what life was like during WW2.
