AVOID TIHS SELLER!!! They think £6 postage for a small 50g bottle of glue is justified. I messaged them before I purchased to see if buying in bulk was allowed and that they indeed Had the stock available…I was told they did, so…I bought 30 bottles…eBay capped the postage at £12. The money was paid, and for 2 weeks they did post them, ignored my 4 messages and on the day before I could raise with eBay they messaged cancelling the buy. Great product
It has the most amazing coverage & lasts so well. Such a shame that once the tin is opened there is considerable wastage. Shame someone can’t come up with a vacuum type of can. This doesn’t just refer to Hammerite but to all paint manufacturers! Sorry - just stating a fact!

Thin and poor coverage
I am reviewing the silver paint, not the coloured. I have previously used the white and black and cover and consistency was excellent. The silver does not cover as well as other hammerite products I have used. Rather thin so you can lose a lot when covering chairs or things that are intricate. Would not use it again, I will use the coloured paints in future.

A real time saver
Saves loads of time if you have rusty iron metal work. Tried sand paper and wire brush but emery cloth would be my prefered solution to remove flaking old paint and heavy rust. I used cheap paint brushes-use once-throw away. As it says on the tin, dries quickly, finnish is very good and smooth. Highly recommend , not cheap but a real time saver on labour.

Got it to paint over a chip in the enamel of my bath in order to prevent it from rusting. It has worked perfectly (up to now). I can think of many other uses where a durable, quality finish is required such as freshening up my radiators.
