Fantastic zoom.
Pretty amazing lens, great quality even if we don't consider that this is a 10x hyperzoom. Sharp, great microcontrast, great colours. Light and tiny compared to other systems. Perfect travel and general walkabout lens. Build is very much plastic, but does feel fairly solid. Very light. Focusing with OM-D EM5 is fast and accurate, operation is silent and works great with video mode. I will be repeating myself, but, again, this lens is sharp. Much more so than i expected, since i've got it i pretty much never used my 12-40/2.8 pro, as this one is not that far off in sharpness and color. Overall, great zoom. Good focus range, sharp image.
Love the focus range equal 28mm-300mm of this lens. Do garden photography during stage 4. Short focus distance 20cm at 28mm / 50cm at300mm (good for taking flower). The image with, only adjust level. no crop, no sharpen, take on raw file with em5.

One of the best for traveling
Definitely it’s not as sharp as fixed lenses, but for THIS price and for THIS zoom range it’s one of the best ones. If you don’t care about money, you should find pre-owned Leica, but for m43 you’ll need an adapter then and autofocus will be veeeeery slow. But the image will be sharper. As for these lenses, just go to dxomark and remember the best settings, it’ll give you the result much more than needed for non-professional use, and much more than accepted for professional. I have found this lens to be very clear and fast to focus, one problem I did find not with the lens but with the lens hood that it inter fears with the shot at about 40mm.
