About this product

Product Information

Elegant and accessible, this interactive handbook teaches crafters of all ages how to create kinetic paper art. The projects are complete with examples, formulas, and the essential instruction that allows them to be constructed directly from the book with simple materials on hand: paper, scissors, and glue. Pop-ups are grouped by type--box or triangle--and as the chapters progress, the techniques are combined and layered for more dramatic effects. With its thorough explanations and inspiring ideas, this book will bring color and motion to crafters' cards, scrapbooks, and invitations.

Wow, I honestly didnt imagine this could be shipped, but I stand corrected!! Awesome piece, super awkward to ship but seller did a lot of extra packing and padding in all the right places to protect hinges and thin wood.. most of all shipped it upside down ((thank you)) on the end that had the toughest wood so it would survive the postal service. Cleaned up beautifully. Great price. Thank you :)

  • The secret to pup up designs

As a design scholar I'm very impressed of how this book takes the basic mechanisms of the pop up paper design and shows you how you can implement them into your own designs and work. The examples are easy to construct and the instructions are easy to follow. It does not have any boring theories you need to learn, it's 100% practical and 100% fun! This book is in my favorite design book shelf and just love it and looking forward to buying the second volume. Any one who's interested in learning the secrets of pop ups, wants to learn about paper engineering or just want a creative spin from 2D design this book is for you.
