The Ultimate Bruce Campbell
Since coming upon Bubba Ho-Tep by accident, and seeing the best Elvis performance ever (I am an Elvis fan and musician who's studied and covered all kinds of Elvis) I was interested in checking out more of Bruce Campbell's performances. If you love off the wall hilarity and wackiness, great campy dialogue, then 'Army of Darkness' is definitely a must-see. I've gotten several coworkers, family and friends to watch this and they could not walk away without pausing the film - even for a few seconds - till they returned. This is campy entertainment at it's best that never gets old. A classic, an aboslute must buy
With a bigger budget the special effects and costumes are a lot better than the first two Evil Dead films but the element of cheese is still there. Bruce Campbell delivers one of the best performances in cinematic history and really solidified himself as one of the Baddest Men on the Planet. Army of Darkness is hilarious, action-packed, and a little freaky at times. Army of Darkness is a classic and it belongs in everybodies DVD collections, right next to Evil Dead 1 & 2. Final Verdict: 5/5 Rent or Buy?: A must buy, along with Evil Dead 1 & 2. IF YOU FIND THIS REVIEW HELPFUL PLEASE REMEMBER TO VOTE.
