They state it is not a perfect fit and it is not. You do need to adjust it. I glued to the woofer first and that fit fine. I left it overnight knowing it would need to be strong to pull the outer ring onto the metal ring. That was the hardest, but the cardboard ring helps seal it. If you lost the ring, just make another using strong cardboard.
