    mama said is a wonderful cd... expressing true talent and musicianship. on the cover is lenny kravitz wearing a shirt that belong to his mother the late roxie roker who played helen willis on the hit70's-80's tv show " the jeffersons" this is a cd that gives u non stop hit after hit and jam after jam. ---------kps825

    LENNY IS ONE OF THE BEST ARTIST OF HIS TIME. NO MATTER WHAT CD I HAVE CHOSEN TO PICK UP, ITS GREAT.

    Always a winner with Lenny.

    I bought this CD in 1992 - it finally gave up due to rough handling and playing all the time. So I just bought my second copy and its back in the disc changer. I think originally it was a CD made for his then wife/love interest Lisa Bonet and mother of daughter Zoe. Do some research on his Mama and you'll be surprised as to who she was, another great story. Lenny is a wonderful musician - I like that his style is so unlike any other group - sometimes, hard rock, other times soulful and full of Blues, sometimes Funky - a great cross-section of music. It changes with the change of track. His lyrics are insightful, storytelling sometimes raw and emotion filled. I'm a Lenny Fan - Mama Said is a great introduction to the World of Lenny Kravitz.
