Jim Hamm's Bows & Arrows Of The Native Americans, is a must read.
This is a very well written book and would be a great book for any bowyer, It is very well detailed with a lot of pictures to add to the details, it covers types of bows from East to West, and all stages of construction very well. It also covers arrow making and making quivers and bow cases. The first book on making Native American archery equipment
Jim Hamm is widely known in the bowyer community for the four-volume Traditional Bowyers Bible that he edited and publishes. Long before that, though, he wrote this little book, which remains the best single reference for anyone looking to make bows and arrows in the style of the earliest residents of this continent.
