This item turns my tv off and on and changes channel and volume, but not a whole lot else. It does work with my RCA TV, but I had to hook it up by using the VIZIO code (which I knew to try because the TV has previously worked with a VIZIO remote). If you want the full functionality, I'd look somewhere else, but if you're not high-tech like us, it will probably work good enough.
