    Mixed Emotions But Still An Excellent Collection

    This album has a lot of great songs on it, but is it considered a studio album? I'm not sure if you'd consider this a studio album or not, because there are some songs that are on Aftermath and Between The Buttons and possibly some of their earlier albums, but at the same time there are songs that are not on any other album. So if you're a die hard Stones fan, you almost need this to complete your collection. Even if you're not, there are a lot of cool songs on here that are not on other albums. I know the Beatles used the same tactic to sell albums. They put out albums that had half new material and songs that had been on previous albums. I don't know who did it first, but it makes us die hard fans buy albums that overlap on some songs just to have the ones ...

    Rolling Stones on SACD

    This is such a fine album. And if you like the Stones, you *need* to hear them in SACD. It's worth it to deal with physical discs for that alone. It's amazingly natural and detailed. Even the unfamiliar tracks are great, like Out Of Time. One of the best albums ever.

    A forgotten gem

    A fairly mild-mannered version of the Stones and not exactly laden with hits, but it's one of their best because of the quality of the songs. There is not a week track in the bunch, even if few of them receive much airplay. I hadn't heard it in years and love having it in my collection. Perhaps their most melodic work.
