For the 24th movie in the James Bond oeuvre, Spectre, Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes has again enlisted six-time Grammy winner Thomas Newman (Skyfall, American Beauty) to write a breathtaking original score. The soundtrack has the added bonus of an instrumental version of the new Bond theme song, "Writing's On The Wall." The Spectre theme song will be sung by fellow multiple Grammy-winner Sam Smith, the first time a male has sung the theme song since Thunderball.

    Best Bond soundtrack to date !

    Next to the soundtrack to SKYFALL, this has to be the best Bond soundtrack to date.... the music it self tells the story. Gone is the Bond theme played every 30 seconds, but mixed in when needed, in a smooth motion, stealthy yet noticeable. Thomas Newman has taken the music legacy started by John Barry, to a place never imagined in 60's and 70's. The sound quality is fantastic ! I have played it in both my car stereo, and my computer ( Mac Mini ) and will blow you out of the chair... the lows draw you in, and when you think your ready, the highs come thru with thunderous effect...love it ! While sitting in traffic, the person in the car next to me asked what I was listening to because it sounded awesome to them ! Go buy a copy today, you won't regret it...

    Great soundtrack for Spectre fans!

    If you love the Spectre movie and music, you will love this CD. There is, however, some music that has been omitted from the CD. These tracks include: the introductory Spectre gun barrel theme and the closing James Bond theme "Back to Work". The end credits music is included. Overall, a great soundtrack that takes you back to each scene in the movie.
