      Perfect replacement part

      Perfect replacement for the OEM part. Fits perfectly and comes with nut and washers. Screwed together easily and was a much cleaner fit than the original part. I had no idea how much of a nightmare the original part had become in terms of screwing it together and getting a clean fit so this was a pleasant surprise. This part retails for $350 or so at Leslie’s so this was a great savings. It arrived in about 3 days. Saved me from buying a new filter.

      Tension Control Clamp

      The design on this product is not great. I needed a replacement so I had no choice but to buy one. The nut is too long. You can only use a socket wrench to a point. Then you must finish with a crescent wrench.

      when you need it, you really need it. make sure you buy the correct compatible part

      Use caution when installing one of these for the first time. I had to replace my old one. The problem is that you learn about your need to replace it when it fails. And, if the belt fails on the tank, be careful. Its a mini explosion. In fact, if in doubt, don't even turn the pump on without standing way back. So, yes, this is a good item to replace when the brass nut is looking worn or if you are having other problems. One thing: do not over-tighten. Just tighten to when the spring spirals are touching. Just because you can tighten the heck out of the barrel nut does not mean you should. But, when its time to buy a new one, you need this item, and you need it quickly because your pump, obviously, will not work. Leslies sells it for $350, and this is cheaper. Just make sure you ...

      Looks good and would buy it again.

      It has a slightly used appearance, but it is straight, and the bolt assemblyl looks new. I see no problems with this item. I like the stainless color better than the black new items that are more than twice the price.
