Great Entry Level Dive Style Watch
A great entry level beater watch. I say this as the watch is only 100m water resistance, has a pull-push crown instead of a screw down crown and only has a painted bezel pip instead of a lumed one as found in a true dive watch...however it more than fulfils the task of being a rugged, durable and well packaged watch. The accuracy is quite good, only losing 4 secs a day but can be adjusted by placing the watch in the dial up position to regain lost secs. The lume is excellent, better than most expensive dive watches, brighter and longer lasting. The day -date feature is very useful for daily use and is legible. The bezel action is firm and solid akin to a mid-level Swiss watch. The strap is comfortable though a bit stiff when new. The dial size of 41mm is perfect, not too big nor too small ... A great entry level beater watch. Having said that, I would recommend the Sea Urchin to anyone but they are becoming hard to find and the prices will go up as it is now for the discontinued SKX.

SEIKO "SEA URCHIN"
Known as the "Sea Urchin", both because of it's 'spikey' appearance and the fact that its natural environment is shallow water (100m water-resistance; can be used while swimming, but not diving.) Looks better on the wrist than in the box. Rubber strap is a bit hard, but decent quality. If you like this watch in photos, you'll love it "in person"!
