Best gauge you can get but a bit finicky
The Topeak digital gauge D2 is a great piece of kit and perfect for keeping tabs on consistent tyre pressure. Much more accurate than even Topeak's own analogue pump gauges. The first thing you should try to do is compare it to your previous pumps and gauges to see how much they are out. Measuring up to 250PSI this thing can also measure shock pressures for all but the heaviest riders but a word of caution; Small volumes will lose a bit of pressure when you use the digital gauge as a small amount of air is lost each time. For tyres this is not so much of an issue but for a rear shock the lost air significantly affected the sag point. So it's not particularly useful for checking shock pressure even if your shock pump gauge is inaccurate, the sag is what matters. The best feature, IMO is ... The Topeak digital gauge D2 is a great piece of kit and perfect for keeping tabs on consistent tyre pressure. Much more accurate than even Topeak's own analogue pump gauges. It is a good little unit and seems fairly accurate. However when using it with a presta valve on a road bike air escapes when you press it on to the valve. Like 4-5 Psi each time. So it may be 100% accurate, but you just lost the pressure you had before you took the reading. This means that if you check twice, you'll be down 10psi. So you deal with this by pumping higher than you wanted, and expect to drop a little. It would be far better if it didn't try to be all things to all valves and had a better fitting for presta valves and not let air escape. I tried it on my car and its fine - basically cos a car tyre is low pressure and higher volume. (whereas a bike tyre is typically high pressure, low volume and hence loses a higher percentage of it's enclosed air) So buy it with this in ... It is a good little unit and seems fairly accurate. Excellent tyre pressure gauge - works equally well with Presta or Schrader type valves. Also really good for car/truck tyres, though deflation function is best for bike tyres as it is a bit slow for large air volumes. It's compact and is intuitive use.

Small and simple
Easy to use, the big display is easy to read, seems quite well made but the TUNE button isn't explained very well in the manual: if you press it you can see the pressure decreasing *while deflating the tyre* The battery is easily replaced and is a standard CR2032 [garage door remote, PC motherboard and so on] which apparently can last in this unit for years ymmv! Precision gauge
For anyone obsessed with precision, you can’t do better than this gauge. Easy to operate for both shraeder and presta valves this gauge is the real deal. You can find cheaper gauges but you get what you pay for. Outstanding product!
