    A good idea for a Geiger counter dosimeter

    I was looking for a simple but expandable Geiger counter / dosimeter and after searching eBay and not only I found this device to be the most money effective one. What I consider as positive: - It works as it was described - It is versatile - you can adapt different GM sensors, connect to a PC or other intelligent device through a USB interface. - It can be controlled through a remote control - If you need more information the Seller is ready to share and, in my opinion, he knows what he is talking about. - It has a good video that can teach you a quick lesson on how to use it. - It is not expensive. What I proposed to be improved: - It should has a short written Manual with a diagram of outside connections and written description of the functions. - The Manual has to say something ...

    New audio indicator mode helps find location of radioactive sources

    I like the new audio mode but it has a circuit error that makes the audio consume excessive power. Idling along at 20mA while operating and jumping up to 80mA when the audio triggers. This is only important for getting batteries to operate longer.
