Hey there, Yes, there would have been holidays in the transit interim as well as the postal service contending with the typical volume at that time. Furthermore, the shipping out time accords with the shipping times noted in the listing, which is in business days. So, the business days also would have been disrupted with holidays and the package was delivered within the previously allotted time as listed. I did not ship it later than designated as per the ad.

    Big Star's swan song worth the lntial of the groundbreakingisten

    The last lp from Big Star led by Alec Chilton It is varied with a couple of covers. This is no repeat of #1 or Radio City but a bands final gasp and some consider the end of Alex Chilton's most creative period. It is a complicated and thoughtful lp which no one would publish for years after completion. This band went on to inspired many of the biggest bands of the late 80s including REM,Wilco, Yo La Tengo and the Dbs. It is worth a couple listens to appreciate the sheer talent and angst of the lost possibilities of the band Big Star.

    Big Star`s Third, but not really.

    I was very disappointed with the music on this Big Star Third release (Sister Lovers). After two fantastic record albums by Big Star in the early 1970s, this third one was quite different....very dark, mellow, sad and lacked the brilliant power pop of their first two albums. It was very much demo like with unproduced, unmixed sounding results. I guess Alex Chilton fought to not have this released and I can see the reason why. Many Big Star fans think this is a great lost treasure but in my honest opinion, I disagree since I was so spoiled by their first two albums.

    Mostly gentle with a few rockers.
