I was a bit reluctant to buy a "refurb" and did some research on the pro's and con's but this one came with a fairly good warranty and too,i I was saving roughly $40-50 buying brand new so I took the chance. Since acquiring the unit it has worked flawlessly with no issues. It does just what I need it to do. End result,I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great Loud, portable speaker! Love JBL.
Was delivered pretty quickly and was in brand new shape as promised. It was missing the charger block, but I'm not sure if that is part of the original package. Regardless, it was like brand new.

comparable in sound to Bose but much cheaper
I feel like I got a great deal on mine. The only issue that I have with it is the weight. It's pretty heavy. I wouldn't want to tote it around in a back pack if I were a student. On the up side though that speaks to the quality of the product. It is a huge sound. I have a Bose wave radio and I would compare it to that quality.
