when chess was chess and archie bunker ruled the land
a great title by a wonderful chess author...not too easy to find this title. I can't wait to dive in and rediscover this wonderful era when an american broke in to the soviet establishment and said "let me wear the crown for a few years, boys!" Forget about Robert James Fischer after he gave up his title; i believe his actions on the sixty-four square looking glass are what's of prime importance...Credit to Spassky too, because of Fischer's shenanigans he could've taken his title with him back to Russia but decided to play it out like a true sportsman! I believe game three in the back (ping pong) room was what turned the whole match toward Bobby Fischer...a great title by a wonderful chess author...not too easy to find this title.
