The music was good, the CD was not

This CD is important, Easily the best of the punk bands, although most of them really where embarrassing bad. The Clash actually played their instruments fairly well. Too bad they couldn't maintain some internal self-control. Oh well, I guess that's the nature of punk.

  • A relection of perfection.

In a world that's otherwise gasping for air in a sea of unoriginality, The Clash still reign supreme as one of the greatest bands to ever come through a set of speakers. London Calling is one of those albums that, as a music lover, you can't help but to appreciate. While the original versions of each song are exceedingly stellar, this collection's remasters bring a new life to what was otherwise an exquisite set of zombies. The demo's and the DVD that are included are welcome additions, both of which add to an already stellar selection of music made by punk rock's greatest artists. If you've yet to hear London Calling, cease depriving yourself of such a masterpiece and make a purchase immediately. Long live The Clash!

  • title schmitle, what ever

Sad that it took so long to appreciate "London Calling." I had different music taste back in the late 70s punk/post-punk/pre new wave didn't do it for me. Happy to be able to enjoy it now.

  • Revolution Rock

While it may not be the best album to come out of the early British punk movement as some claim, it is certainly the most well produced and highest quality recording. Honestly, if I didn't know better I could think that this album was a recent release because the majority of the music still sounds fresh. The remaster version is the only way to go when it comes to buying London Calling so if you have the regular CD version toss it and pick this up. You'll thank me. 5 Stars.
