    In reviewing the book "Rigging Period Ship Models" by Lennarth Petersson (2000) You will be pleasantly surprised to find that this is not a book full of wasted text, it is a book chocked full of beautiful drawings! This is a book on ‘Ships of the line’ rigging and that’s it! I was very pleased by the amount of detail concerning this book, the drawings are clean, the text is very readable, and the information is incredible. I liked the small size of the book and the size of the print used on each page. It was light in weight compared to some of the other ship of the line books. The paper quality is remarkable and the drawings fill as much of the page as possible.     This book is a must have for any square rig ship modeler.

    Entire book (hardcover) done with clean illustrations of the late 18th century 36 gun frigate HMS Melampus. Clear and simple to follow instructions throughout entire book which contains all pictorial diagrams of every rigging item on the entire ship. Even a novice can understand the correct rigging procedure for every part of this ship which is a typical example of late 18th century warships.
