I previously had a cheap fake leather one and the difference between the two is worlds apart! Snaps as a fastener instead of buckles (which I didn't notice when I originally purchased the item) worried me a bit but after using the item they work really well and I can see them being much quicker to release in an emergency/urgent situation. Only improvements I'd suggest would be loops and straps for wrists and elbow/midsection!!!
