The pump was packaged in a good colored box from Gates pump brand. The metal part of the pump, has the legend from Continental brand. It was rare to me, because the pump it supposed to be Gates. I think that only the plastic part is from Gates brand It looks that the plastic part was made with the cheapest materials, the quality of assemblies it seems a little bad. It's my personal opinion.
