My APC 1000VA was burning up my batteries so I decided to get a newer larger capacity UPS since the machine hooked up to it will be replaced with a Hypervisor computer with perhaps 7 virtual machines on it. This is a solid unit. I like the control panel on the front which allows you quite a bit of control of the features and you can make changes quickly. Cyber Power has software designed for virtual computing and that was a big factor in my decision. Runtime is important to me and this has decent runtime. Right now it is hooked up to a 2003 Server and runtime is almost two hours. It will go down at least 50% when I install my hypervisor machine but that's still not too bad for me. This unit is roughly equivalent to an APC SMT1500 but cheaper. Both units have similar wattages and offer True Sine Wave Output. The Cyber Power software is web based this time instead of a regular software client but it seems a lot of companies are going to this model. So far I am pretty happy.Read full review
I have this connected to a Sony 49" TV, FiOS Receiver, Harmon Kardon Amp, Powered sub woffer, Compaq media PC, and wireless router and it says "38 minutes of standby power." Awesome! We get (occasional) power drop outs and this protects the PC (in particular) and FiOS box from rebooting. Simple and effective. High quality feel to it. BTW I did NOT install the software and cables to shutdown the PC.

I have it set up in my front room. Just using this for the TV, so far works nicely. Also use to keep my modem & switch going for tablets, phones, with all advantages of internet when and if power goes. Also bought an inverter generator "1000watts to keep UPS up and running! Ran a quick test on all, looks good! I'm a happy camper!
