  • Interesting!

I've just started reading this book but from the very beginning I was drawn in to the way the author engages you in a clear, straightforward manner. I understand that some may not consider the subject matter inviting but if you have even a small interest in woodworking you will find this publication informative and for some, quite entertaining.

  • THE BOOK FOR THE ANTIQUE TOOL COLLECTOR

If you collect old, antique, or vintage, pioneer type tools, this is the book for you. I've begun collecting old woodworking tools that were used to build this country and I really didn't know very much about them or how they were intended to be used until I read this book. Things such as draw knives, spokeshaves, scrapers, froes, and adzes plus more, they're all in there. This well written book is like a history lesson/teaching manual all rolled into one convenent source. Everything from the types of wood used in making the tools to how the trees were selected, how they were cut and how to do the cutting. Its like this through the whole book. Very easy to read and understand. I can think of nothing better than taking a trip through time with this wonderful book.

  • Wonderful text. Establishes how many old tools are held and used.
