The Birth of a Nation
A great read. Telling the story of the birth of Israel and all the trials and tribulations that the Jews had to endure to arrive at where they are today. The story goes back to pre war Russia and the beginning of the Jewish migration and how they overcame the hostile Arabs through the German occupation of Europe and the Holocaust, the post war years with the United Nations vote for Israel through the Arab-Israeli war up until today. A very good historical account. The movie is also good however a lot of background hisory is left out. The book covers the lot and worth a read for scholars of history and any interested persons. Not heavy reading as some of these books tend to be, just a reaaly good historical read.A great read.
