I live in Minnesota, and have used this on the snugpack Jungle Hammock with my Northstar -15°F Sub Zero Bag (which the Northstar I wouldn't use in -15°F weather) With all 3 used in 25°F temperature it was awesome! I didn't know how cold it was until I got out of the hammock the following day. I was completely unfazed by the elements. I'd highly recommend the Snugpack Cocoon to anyone into winter camping. And if I didn't make it clear I would use this in conjunction with another sleeping bag. I don't know how well it would work w/o it in below freezing temperatures, BUT I could use this in 40°F temps and up just fine! I actually bought the same set up for my wife!

Short review- well made, zippers are excellent. Fits over average hammock well. Warm to about 45 degrees ( my experience) I was wearing sweatpants light jacket and wool socks. My complaint is the end for your upper body is too snug. I am average build 5-9 - 195lbs. I found it too tight when zippered up. But I still use it today. Overall great system.

Warm enough when the temp dropped below freezing, 30°, ,but it has poor stitching.

Great product, newest version. I have used this about ten time and have had no tears. The stitching appears to be very good quality. The shock cords work great, very easy to set up, and I have used it within an ENO bug net that was slung off a ridgeline. Yeah, you may not want to use it in January in Manitoba, but for cool weather in the lower 48 its a good deal. Not as heavy as the "purists" would have you believe, and you don't need to carry any other insulation. It works great by itself. Just make sure it has an inch or two of space between the bottom of the hammock and the cocoon. That's where the warmth comes from.

Tried it out in 30° weather and stayed pretty warm. I'm a pretty big guy being over 6'4 and this fit great, a little snug until I nestled in. I was even able to sleep on my side, with my knees bent comfortably. Kept the moisture of the morning dew out and honestly don't have any complaints, wish it was a little wider and wouldn't recommend to people that can't stand confined spaces.
