    Cornish period drama

    A dark historic saga of a family outsider, Ross Poldark, blessed with morality in amoral times. Ross seeks to regain his share of the the family fortune through mining and reputable business. Poldark is an interesting commentary on the social, historical and political aspects of life in Cornwall at the time. Simultaneously the story follows Ross' love and marriage, personal trials and tribulations, all set on the stunning scenery of the Cornish coast.
