  • Lauren Conrad's wonderful, rare insight into The Hills!

This is an excellent book. For any fans of MTV's show "The Hills," this is a definite must-have. "LA Candy" provides insight to the massive production that goes into the reality TV show written by the star of the show itself - Lauren Conrad. "LA Candy" is listed as fiction, but anyone who has watched the show will instantly pick-up on the situation and character similarities to the reality show. Even readers who are new the hit TV series will experience an interesting read on a situation that is rarely written about. It is hard to believe that this is the first book written by Lauren Conrad, who certainly provides rare insight as the staring role in a reality TV show. Conrad has been followed by cameras from 2003 whilst in high school on the show "Laguna Beach" up until recently on "The ...

  • L.A. Candy

I have watched "The Hills" from the beginning (although I was NOT a "Laguna Beach" fan) and I couldn't resist LA Candy. I was kind of expecting something like "The Truth About Diamonds", Nicole Richies semi-autobiographical book. The writing is a little juevenile....I can see high-school girls loving this book. I did enjoy it....not as much gossip and name dropping as I would have liked and expected. The ending is a totally disappointing cliffhanger. LC should have given us a more satisfying ending. I can only assume there will be a sequel. I recommend this for a younger set of readers, late high-school to early college age girls.

  • Excellent Book!!!

  • l.a. candy

This book is a really good read. I honestly didn't expect to much of it, but it changed my mind. I wouldn't say it is the best book I have ever read, but it is interested and keeps you entertained while reading it. You can tell who the characters in this book are loosely based off of, if you have watched the hills.
