      Genuine HP cable at a MUCH better price.

      Why they don't include this cable with the UPS is beyond me. They used to include the serial able with all smart UPS units. Just make sure that you uninstall whatever version of powerchute you are running, unplug the cable you are using, probably USB, connect the new cable and install the powerchute software that came with new UPS. If you have multiple computers it will communicate just find with other older versions of powerchute.

      This cable was exactly as described

      This cable was exactly what is needed to connect an APC with a serial based interface to a windows server serial port. Detected and setup perfectly. Not clear why APC shows included but stopped packaging with there battery units, but this low cost cable solved that problem without having to waste time chasing APC for the part.
