Items were packed ok with 2 thick plastic packing envelopes laid over them but old toy soldiers should be wrapped individually and preferably in tissue paper or as a second alternative paper towels. However, the toy soldiers arrived undamaged, and, though some existing flaws, I enjoy the set immensely. However, the horse though described as loose looked more connected to the stand in the photos. I don't remember the shipping time involved but I believe the shipment arrived timely.
