I am very content with my purchase, and I expect to use these headphones for a long time to come. The Solo HD headphones fit comfortably over the ear and completely immerse oneself in the music. The headphones have great sound quality and can be connected to a wide myriad of products. The headband for the headphones is adjustable and will not slip if sized correctly. I recommend the Beats by Dr. Dre solo headphones because they are more lightweight than other models and are the perfect fit for a student, post graduate, or anyone that wants to be in tune with their own music for the time being. I highly recommend.

I bought these as a replacement to the pair my wife bought me over 8 years ago (!!). This pair is the Monster version of my Solo HD and I think (and I'm chagrined to say this) that the bass response is such that the overall sound is a bit 'woofy'. I had to replace the strap cushion with a purchase from Amazon but overall I'm quite satisfied with the product and the purchase

'Dr. Dre beats' is a superb listening device. I have had them for two weeks. They are great for the road, or where ever I go. They have crystal clear, super bold, deep bass sound. It was my first time trying them. I had always wanted to try theese type of head phones. They are exactly what I had expected, no if's and's or, but's about it. They are also great for 'radio-heads' out there!

I was looking for a pair of headphones to use with my Nook tablet. The set I was looking for ( the RadioShack Pro 40 by Koss) is no longer made. I saw the Beats up for auction. The size and look were similar to the Pro 40... relatively small (full size studio cans on a phone look ridiculous to me)bass was tight with smooth mids and clear sweet but not tinny highs. At the price I won the bid at... I couldn't not bid. I'm sorry... I like Dr. Dre for his musical creativity... but I am NOT paying that kind of retail for anybody's headphones for personal electronics... I don't care whose name is on the box. When it all comes down to it... they're just headphones......
Product was as good as brand new, gave them to my son for Xmas and didn't mention to him that they were refurbished or nothing, and he has said anything about them, but thanks thanks thanks!!! So I'd say grade A

Great product, very new and sounds great! was totally worth it. I've always wanted a pair of beats and this was the best deal by far. Headphone pads can be a little uncomfortable but thats usually with all types of headsets. other than that there were no problems with this product. Shipping took a while but everything is great!

they were purchased for a 13 yr old grandson. he says they work great. the only problem I have is when his 6 yr old sister grabbed them off his head and not only did the headband break but the hinge also broke. apparently Dr Dre doesn't supply a lot of parts for these and even the people that repair them can't get parts either. you have to shop around looking for damaged headsets that have the part you need. I was fortunate enough to find the parts for these and get them repaired and they are working great again. I am not sure the price asked for these in the market place justifies the cost and hard time to get any repair done
I tried these out at a local store's display, and thought they sounded great. After buying these, I was glad to hear my music preference sounds just as good as the stuff playing in the stores. The seal the pads make with your ears is really solid. If there are people around you having a conversation, the sound is muffled quite a bit. With music at low volumes, you won't hear them at all. This is great for listening to music at work if you sit in open areas with a lot of people (as long as your phone has a flashing light when it rings) I haven't tried using the ControlTalk with my phone, I have a bluetooth set for that. The only downside I've found in the first couple of weeks of ownership, is sometimes the pressure on the ears after wearing them for 5-6 hours straight makes them a bit sore. Nothing a short break doesn't fix though. Bottom line, if you want a serious set of headphones to really enjoy your music collection, you won't be disappointed by these.Read full review

No matter what discount price you are offered on these, don't buy them. The cord that connects you to your sound source is famously defective. Mine came with a cord that lasted one day. I ordered another from a different source - same thing. I have ended up using them strictly for listening, with a cord that does not have a built in mic. As headphones they are mediocre. They are fairly comfortable, I will give them that - but the sound quality is lame. I am a musician and I have owned countless headphones - these are nothing special. Depending on what your sound source is, iPod, computer, iPad, stereo - the sound is different; too bass-y on some, better, but not great on others. I have $20 Koss headphones that blow these away. Read the countless bad reviews of these and beware. Monster makes good guitar cords and other products, but these are awful and you will regret spending even a dime on them.Read full review
