Replaced Velcro
I was using velcro straps, until I came across the gear tie 12in version at a store. It replaced the velcro straps that I was using on my bicycle U-Lock to secure the cable. It make securing the cable to the U-lock much easier. And the problem that I was having with velcro does not happen with the gear tie. Makes for easy storage with a twist. And tucks away in a bag nice and compact. Easy to use and comes in assorted lengths and colors.

Organize Ropes and Cables
I use an assortment of sizes around my apartment. I use them on my bike to hold my cable to my U-Lock. Well worth the expense over Velcro straps. Even though the rubber has broken it still works really well to hold things still. Are recycle bags are held closed using these smaller ties. Well worth having if your needing to strap something together or hold something closed.
