    good basic router

    I have owned two of these routers. The first wore out due to heavy usage. We had to replace the upper bearing twice. We then purchased the second one and it is working fine for us now. I would like to see the option of a 1/2" chuck for bigger router bits. The power is about average. It is recommended that you slow down the feed when working with large bits. Over all, it is a basic and reliable tool for light to medium duty work.

    using spindle only

    Body is round and removes from base. 1/4" collet not for high HP type applications, but is running a 1/4" upcut bit with no issues at all. Not overly loud. I like it so far, using as spindle for my slot mortiser.
