This series sees the nuns receive an SOS call from a mission hospital in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Under the hot sun, the Nonnatus family face some of their toughest challenges yet. Back in Poplar, the rather austere Sister Ursula is appointed the new head of Nonnatus House, demoting Sister Julienne to an ordinary member of staff. She is not the only one to face challenges closer to home. Series 6 sees the nuns and nurses laugh together and cry together, supporting each other as never before.

    Entertaining, heart warming and enjoyable

    I have seen all seasons from 1-6 and they have all been the most interesting serial I have watched for years. It explains and shows the changes within the U.K. from 1958 to 1963. The stories are told in the most beautiful manner whereby you can really delve into the lives of the people in a poor area as seen by the Midwives who's personalities are delightful. This initiated from the memories or a letter written by one of the initial midwives in the serial. I love it and have re-watched each season at least four times as I get so much more out of them each time. Get yourself a box of tissues, turn your mobile off and I guarantee you will enjoy watching Call the Midwives including season 6.
