    Fun gadget

    I have been wanting a fitbit for awhile. I had my eyes on the alta because it seemed like a good deal with all the tracking and watch features and everything. I love it. Tracks my every step. Tracks my sleep. Let's me set goals. I wish it had GPS tracking so that I could track where I walked/ran. I may upgrade to one that does that soon. But for now this one is great for the value.

    To all potential buyers... Make sure to read ALL reviews before buying!

    Man, I know the Fitbit Alta has ben discontinued but I don't know if that's the reason why these just don't work anymore! Yeah it looks brand new, but what is the point if this thing won't hold a charge for FIVE minutes? From the time I unplugged it from the charger to the time I was trying to sync it with my phone the battery was dead! Tried a couple time but the result was the same. I am glad item returns are a thing. Some other buyers claim that this Fitbit worked fine on them, make sure you read all reviews before buying.

    Tracking

    Never sure of the accuracy. When I talk I use my hands and the steps just rack up. On a walk it seems close to what I measured in mileage. I will take the steps it counts and figure it works out in the end. I do like the extra things the tracker tells you - sleep and Kcal burned. It is very nice. The band in a bit large I have two holes left to size it down. The battery last about 8 days. This is the third one I have tried, I like it best.

    Good activity tracker

    The Alta is overall very easy to use and helpful with tracking steps, sleep and activity. Battery life is good and the band is not difficult to adjust. I really like that it can be linked with my smartphone so that I get a vibration on the Alta when a text or call comes in. I would have given it 5 stars except for issues with charging: I can only charge it when it is plugged into my computer. Plugging it into a wall charger does nothing so I can't plan on being able to charge it while on any kind of trip unless I bring my pc with me.

    Cheap Price, Great Quality

    I was a little worried buying a Fitbit on eBay, because it was $40 cheaper than through the Fitbit website or other stores. I received the item a few days ago and I've had absolutely no problems. I highly recommend this product to really anyone. The slim design is very nice, and it is easy to navigate the menus.
